How to claim back entirely or partially the cost of your treatment with us

Dounya Adman is a registered dietitian in the UK with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is as well registered in France with The Shared Directory of Health, Social work and Medico-Social Professionals (RPPS).

Depending on the type of policy agreement  you have with your private health insurance or cash back plan, you may be able to claim back your consultation fee. Please scroll down and follow these 4 steps to find out how.

STEP 1. Know your main medical condition and read your insurance policy

Most private health insurances won't cover your consultations if you need to see a dietitian for weight management for example. Although many health conditions won't be covered, some of them could be depending on your personal health situation. Usually, this is shown in your insurance policy under the section "Exclusions". You can easily read your policy and see if your medical condition is excluded or not.

STEP 2. Contact your private health insurance or cash back plan

We value quality and clarity over frustration. Contacting your private health insurance or cash back plan is key to make sure that you'll be able to claim back the cost of your consultation with us.

They may ask you the following:

  • Explain your medical condition and why you request a dietitian consultation. ( your GP may be able to help by referring you)
  • Dounya Adman's HCPC registration N°: DT033015
  • Consultation price: £60 (60 min In-person) and £50 (60 min Online)
  • French Insurers might ask you Dounya Adman's Identifiant RPPS : 10007285934
  • You'll need to ask them:
  • If you need a GP referral letter.
  • If you can book online consultations ( if this is your preferred consultation method )
  • Your pre-authorisation number if you are insured with AXA, Bupa, Aviva, WPA, General and Medical, Vitality, April & The Exeter. This ensures that you won't have to pay the consultation fee.
  • When they will be able to refund you the cost of your consultation.
  • How many follow-up consultations are you allowed to have with us.
  • What they'll need from us? Because you are self-funding your consultation, you'll receive the invoice and receipt after booking your appointment with us. But please ask them if this will be enough for them to make your claim.
  • Do you have any excess? If yes, how much?
  • Policy expiration date.

Please don't hesitate to contact us for further assistance.

WHY IT IS URGENT TO BOOK YOUR CONSULTATION NOW?

Your health is your most valuable asset, and delaying care could have significant consequences. If left unaddressed, your symptoms may worsen, potentially leading to severe complications that could impact your daily life, work performance, and overall wellbeing.

Prolonging care can also result in reliance on painkillers or temporary solutions, which may lead to dependency or mask the underlying issue rather than resolving it. Seeking timely help allows for a proactive approach, preventing long-term complications and ensuring a path toward sustainable health.

If you have private health insurance, waiting too long to seek treatment may result in your condition being classified as chronic, potentially affecting your coverage or reimbursement eligibility. This could leave you with higher out-of-pocket expenses for the care you need.

Delaying action can also significantly lower your quality of life, causing fatigue, emotional strain, and disruptions to your daily routine. Left untreated, symptoms may escalate, leading to missed work or decreased productivity, which could negatively affect your financial stability.

Additionally, the average waiting time for NHS appointments continues to increase, meaning further delays in accessing support if private care isn’t prioritised.

Your health is worth immediate attention. Addressing concerns today can prevent larger challenges tomorrow, ensuring you maintain control over your wellbeing and your future.
